Stine takes over Idaho Freddy’s franchises

Eric Stine, CEO of EMS Management, will be the new principle in charge of the Freddy’s Frozen Custard &Steakburgers’ locations in Idaho.

Idaho’s first Freddy’s opened in 2014 in Meridian and the company has expanded to Nampa, Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Caldwell, Chubbuck and Eagle, a Freddy’s news release said. Stine also is part of the management team for the restaurant in Rexburg.

Stine’s roots in Freddy’s run deep as he was the first general manager at the first Freddy’s location in Wichita, Kan. His management team combined has more than 25 years of Freddy’s experience.

Cybersecurity competition winners announced

Four teams of four students each competed real-time against teams across the country in the MAGIC Capture the Flag Cybersecurity Competition. The local teams competed at Ammon City Hall.

The city of Ammon has announced the winners of the Capture the Flag Cybersecurity Competition:

First-place — “The Winners,” Hannah Weber, Paul Spencer, Lauren Mortensen and Kellie Stanger.

Second-place (tie) — “Dig Dug,” Jaron Seedall, Jaxon Hughes, Lucas Perrenoud and Marcus Cabrera.

“Riders of Rohan,” Kolton Tolman, Kason Tolman, Kason Summers and Sarah Youinou.

Third-place — “The Bees Knees,” Joshua Larsen, Ethane Ricks, Ammon Potter and Parker Hyde.

First-place winners were awarded $500 scholarships to the College of Eastern Idaho from the College of Eastern Idaho Foundation and tablet computers from the Idaho National Laboratory.
