Our friend and sometimes contributor John Parsons tells us of a “splendid new indoor pickleball facility” that opened in late October near Rigby.
Blake Summers, a longtime assistant tennis coach at Rigby High School, built an indoor pickleball and tennis facility at his home at 356 North 3700 East, a couple of miles west of Rigby’s downtown.
The facility, which includes four pickleball courts, is available for use by reservation only. It cost $20 to rent a pickleball court for 90 minutes. As Parsons points out “split four ways, that’s a mere $5 a person.”
Controlled access to the facility is granted via an electronic key. Players can obtain keys from Summers and paying a deposit.
Summers eventually plans to make reservations available via a website but for now anyone who wants to play should contact him via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 208-547-7784.
The facility is described on the USA Pickleball Association’s “Places To Play” database, places2play.org/place?id=5744.
