Preleasing has begun for a new apartment complex set to open in November at 246 N. Curlew Drive in Ammon.
The complex, known as The Residences at First Street, is owned by Kartchner Inc., a Kartchner news release said. It will include 288 apartments. There will be 72 one-bedroom apartments available, 144 apartments with two bedrooms and one bathroom, 36 luxury apartments with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and 36 three-bedroom apartments.
Kartchner Inc. broke ground on the 15.57-acre site off 1st Street in the spring, the release said.
Costs of the apartments range from $895 a month to $1,160 for the luxury apartments, with some variance based on what floor the apartment is on.
The apartments will have 9-foot ceilings, walk-in closets, vinyl tile flooring and private patios. The complex also has a heated outdoor pool, Jacuzzi spa, barbecue area, on-site dog park and playground, a fitness center with weight machines and free weights, and a club room, the release said.
“The Residences is perfectly positioned to meet the growing demand for quality apartment housing in the Idaho Falls market,” said Troy Kartchner, Kartchner Inc. president, in the release. “We are excited to bring this community to fruition and can’t wait for residents to start moving in later this fall.”
A company spokeswoman could not be reached Friday for comment on the project’s value. A city of Ammon employee also did not have that information readily available. For information, call 208-529-5555 or visit theresidencesapts.com.
