FLACHAU, Austria — Olympic slalom champion Mikaela Shiffrin used a frenetic final run to stretch her winning streak in 2018 to five races at a women’s World Cup night race on Tuesday.

FLACHAU, Austria (AP) — Mikaela Shiffrin’s winning streak was under threat by Bernadette Schild after the Austrian posted the fastest time in the opening run of a women’s World Cup night slalom on Tuesday.

SYDNEY (AP) — Former world No. 1 Angelique Kerber won her sixth consecutive match of the new season, beating second-seeded Venus Williams 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 on Tuesday in a Sydney International match delayed for two hours by a thunderstorm.
