Tigers win city championship

The Idaho Falls Tigers Cal Ripken AA team took first place in its division in the city of Idaho Falls tournament. The team is coached by Marty Anderson, Brad Call and Ben Adams. I.F. Tsunami take third in Bear Lake

The Idaho Falls Tsunami 16U team took third place in last weekend’s Bear Lake tournament.The team is coached by Tammy Sorensen and Brad Peters and made up of girls from Idaho Falls, Snake River, Blackfoot and Rigby. Soda Slam champs

The Idaho Falls 10u Grizzlies went undefeated over the weekend in the Soda Slam tournament. Rachel Hafer threw a no-hitter, and Carmindy Johnson threw a shutout and a perfect game. The two pitchers shared time in the circle in a 7-3 win over the Rigby Dirt Diamonds in the championship game. The Grizzlies got multiple hits from Ashley, Alexa, Ella, Lucy, Brooklyn T., Brooklyn N., Analee, Madi and Kamree. Maggie Young added a big home run.

Madison gymnasts qualify for nationals

Madison Gymnastics team members Ryker Shaw, Zackrey Lerwill and Payton Lerwill each placed fourth in their divisons at the Region 2 championships held last week in Boise. The performances qualified them for the Junior Olympic Championship, which will be held in Orlando, Fla.
