DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche have relied on their stars to carry the offense, but it was the supporting cast that got things rolling on New Year’s Eve.

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Former World champion Sarah Hendrickson and Michael Glasder clinched spots in the Pyeongchang Games on Sunday as the overall winners at the U.S. Olympic trials for ski jumping.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — After a sluggish start in its Pac-12 Conference opener against Washington on Friday, Southern California rebounded Sunday night with a renewed sense of urgency and cruised to a win.
